Picking up speed

Finally, a day of nothing in particular to do except write. And I’m starting to make progress on that front. I’m getting back into my normal HoC scene-writing rhythm, which was thrown off for the past couple days by my usual NaNo rhythm kicking in.

I’m getting scenes that are mostly on track. I still anticipate heavy edits. The episode is all over the place at the moment. But I’m starting to get a sense of what will need to be done for it to come together. I’ll feel more at ease when I’ve got that episode up and have a little breathing room. It’s difficult to get into the literary abandon of NaNo when I know I have to turn it into something acceptable for reading in a few days.

About Joyce

Joyce Sully lives in Southern California. She graduated from UC Irvine. She likes to knit and cook and play video games. But mostly she writes. Joyce writes short stories and novels, songs and poems, scripts and instructions to feed the cat if she stays out late. She has been spotted as far afield as Seattle, but travel makes her nervous. She believes in magic and dragons and ghosts, but is not convinced her next-door neighbors are real.
