Trying something new

I’m not happy with posting here so late at night. For one, I think it’s making it less likely that anyone will read my posts. By morning, More Interesting Shit has shown up and I’ve been lost in the deluge. Which is to be expected anyway, because I’m new and uninteresting to the vast majority of everyone ever. But I intend to console myself by thinking that my number will improve if I post at a different hour.

Also, it’s making me keep some truly hideous hours and I’m starting to feel the effects of staying up until 1 am every day. So this is the plan: words from today, which will mostly be written late at night, will be posted tomorrow morning. What I write tomorrow will appear in the Saturday progress report. And so on. Columns will come at the same times they have been. I’m just resetting what I think of as the end of my day. It now ends the following morning. Be fair; call it noon.

So. That’s all I’ve got to say on the matter (and a good job of it, too). I’ll be back tomorrow morning to let you know how tonight went. Do try to restrain your enthusiasm until then.

About Joyce

Joyce Sully lives in Southern California. She graduated from UC Irvine. She likes to knit and cook and play video games. But mostly she writes. Joyce writes short stories and novels, songs and poems, scripts and instructions to feed the cat if she stays out late. She has been spotted as far afield as Seattle, but travel makes her nervous. She believes in magic and dragons and ghosts, but is not convinced her next-door neighbors are real.
